Usually this is a bad combination of subjects, however have you ever noticed a direct correlation between the type of Car a person drives and the type of dog they have? Over the many years of being around dog people and people that have cars, I’ve noticed it is often times possible to predict what type of car a person will drive based on the type of dog they have and vice versa. For instance, I drive a Cadillac CTS, Cadillac White, sort of a metallic Cream color, a little sporty but more elegant lines, well put together and reliable. My oldest dog that I chose, that didn’t choose me as they often do, is a Whippet. Like the Cadillac White and Cream, a little sporty but with an elegant outline, well put together and reliable. Emma, the Whippet is also extremely affectionate to people and other dogs, but has a high prey drive if you’re a rabbit or squirrel. Kind of like the prey drive I have on the interstate in a pack of speeding cars to be in front. Often times, people that drive very expensive, exotic, sporty cars like Lamborghini’s Ferrari‘s, or Porsche’s will have very expensive exotic sounding dogs like Cirneco Dell Etna, Briards, Bouviers , or Coton De Tulear’s. Very expensive, exotic sounding dogs that most people wouldn’t be familiar with. The other car we have is a Cream Mini-Cooper convertible sassy, compact, and cute, but not to be underestimated. Very similar to two other dogs we have Chihuahua’s. I’ve noticed people that drive very small cars like Smart Cars often have very small dogs like Yorkies or Maltese, because there is very little room in the car for the dog, or they have very smart dogs like Jack Russells. Conversely, people with Mini Vans or SUV’s often times have large or multiple dogs. Young Urban Professionals will often have Wiemaraners, Vizlas or Portuguese Water Dogs and drive Volvo or European SUV’s or Land Rovers, they like athletic, stylish cars and dogs. It has been said, that the car you drive says a lot about a person and apparently it also says a lot about what kind of dog they might have. Best Wishes, Mrs. Bones
