Pic of hound group 2009
Mrs. Bones is home from a very busy week at the Westminster Kennel Club! Seeing many new and old freinds and FABULOUS DOGS! I didn't have a digital camera with me so my photos are from my phone..not the best but gives everyone an idea of what the atmosphere is like. This trip is allot of work, preparing inventory and work materials-I'm in back and neck pain, but it was worth it to see our repeat customers and meet new ones- all got wonderful new collars and leashes for their furry family members! I have certain dogs that stand out in my mind of course little Tobasco, Ada's Chihuahua from the Westminster Limo commercial at 3.5lbs he decided to confront three Borzio this year! Gotta love a man who is more macho than he weighs! I also loved seeing my sweet Riley, he is a Glen of Imaal Terrier with one of the largest necks and hearts I've ever seen on a dog his size.he looks fab in the cheetah collar..everytime I see him I truely believe he remembers me, and he has the most lovely family- a lucky dog! The Bouviers de Flanders, came all the way from Alaska! Won breed and placed in group, he was a stinger! Voodoo Slam Dunk now sports the beautiful "Laura" collar, Bouviers are an underated breed, most people just don't know about them, they have such a sweet demeaner for a very large dog...they are a loving great family pet. Met briefly, Andre Leon Talley editor of Vogue Magazine, his eyes were drawn to and appreciated the Mrs. Bones Collars. I also got to see Don Imus, will post a pic of his studio...took the train this year...Shout out to Amtrak...they didn't loose my luggage and everything ran on time! Very comfie large seats and Jay our host was hilarious! Also stayed at the new Holiday Inn at 125 26th Street in NYC...clean , great location, wonderful staff...loved Clemment , at the front desk-and Thomas and Mugsy in the restaurant, Wonderful folks! Will stay there again, great place! On a sour note my phone was stolen from the table at one of my fav NYC haunts Johns Pizzaria on 44th street , great pizza but the staff has sticky fingers, won't go there anymore! As usual my trips are Action Packed, don't worry AT&T hooked me up with a new phone quickly, so I could take care of business at home too! Will post pics soon, Best Wishes, Mrs. Bones
Don Imus's studio, he was so nice waved at us twice! cool LCD in the pavement!
WELCOME TO THE HOTEL PENNSYVANIA...SUCH A LOVELY PLACE...SUCH A LOVELY PLACE...this is where I vend at for the show, accross the street from "The Garden" at least its a respectable confrence center not an alley . Can't afford the rent at the main show , but even here- I sometimes get the shaft as a vendor, this year my space was used to make someone else who was whining happy, after I "earned the good spot in the front as a repeat vendor" I bring business to this venue, my customers return year after year and they are as happy to see me as I am them. But for the first 3 days of specialty shows Mrs. Bones was put in the corner not even the booth frontage she deserves.....but on the main days I got my usual spot back! Thank God my customers could finally find me! Love Gidgett and Peter the security people and loving friends and Gloria with hotel management who helped me tremendously!
